Risk of changing

January 31, 2009 § 4 Comments

It’s Saturday. Tomorrow is Sunday. Sunday is the day when I’m going to my brother’s house to sleep over. After that comes Monday. Monday is the day that makes the butterflies in my tummy fly up a storm! It’s the day where I set my foot on a plane which will be the start of a new season and a new adventure.

I can’t believe it’s been 7 months already since I came to Norway from Australia. I remember it felt like 7 months were gonna be a whole lifetime, and now I’m all of a suddenly packed up again and ready to go back. It’s crazy. I’m flying alone this time which makes it a bit scary, but only until I get to Sydney. Once I get to Sydney it’s gonna be amazing and scary all at the same time. But scary good. It means I can be in a place in my life where God once again gets to do what He does best, and I will actually let Him. I’ll be out of my comfort zone, which is the best place to be, no matter how uncomfortable it is.

All that’s left now is to finish up the packing down of my room and to say my goodbyes (and also shave my legs. welcome summer!). It’s sad and happy face at the same time. But you’re very welcome to visit me in Sydney. It’s actually not that far away

3:39am Packing

I can’t sleep. My mind is filled with boxes and suitcases and trying to fit all my stuff into it like tetris cubes. Actually, it’s more about the weight than the space. It’s hard. All the things I’ve chosen to take with me needs to fit into 3 boxes and one suitcase, but so far it just won’t. Repacking at nearly 4 in the morning isn’t easy, but my head just won’t rest. Bless the day I’ll have peace of mind again.

I’d still take you home

I just remembered that they don’t let you take knitting pins on air planes anymore. Well, they might be nice about it in some places, but NOT Heathrow, that’s for sure. It sucks. How much knitting wouldn’t I be able to get done over the one and a half days I’ll be spending either on or waiting for a big tin bird. I guess it’ll be crossword puzzles.

Oh and I got this new knitted jacket/coat thingy. It’s not black! Progress.

Wrapping it up

First of all a hi and hello to those who have been trying to catch my attention lately (I’m thinking of one crownprincess in particular). My life and energy in the last few weeks have been spread out so thinly it came to a full HALT! this last Sunday. I had to lay off a couple of things and just let life be life over the last few days, and it’s been really good. I’m learning to relax again.

Anyhows.. The GREAT big new is that I just got my Visa!! And my flights! That’s right. In 18 days it’s once again take off to the land down under. Oh joy! That means wrapping up this season in Norway, and also most of my life here, since I fear I won’t be coming back here for good anymore. Which is awesome. God always calls us to different places, I think that’s the point. I’m sad to be saying good bye to so many beautiful faces, but at the same time I can’t wait to embark out on this whole new adventure. And it’s not just God and me anymore. I mean, it’s still God and me, but it’s also God, me and James. The best team ever!!

I should stop yappering. It’s way too late. I think I’m gonna go pack something
